Nutrition and Dietetics
Dietetics is the branch of healthcare responsible for studying eating habits and their relationship to health and disease (diet therapy). The role of a dietitian is to educate, monitor and recommend healthy lifestyle habits in order to maintain or improve their patient's quality of life.
Therefore, as a dietitian, my goal is to improve people's quality of life through nutrition, because they say we are what we eat.
I do this through nutritional plans that are tailored and personalised for each patient (anthropometric analysis, medical and dietary history, nutritional education, a diet adapted to your lifestyle with a wide variety of options, etc.). Each person is unique, and we are not all in the same situation.
I'm not talking about strict, boring diets that you get tired of after a short time, full of supplements and medication, and which ultimately don't work. I'm talking about:
Learning to eat healthily and make your own informed decisions
Healthy meals that are also tasty and appetising
Acquiring new healthy lifestyle habits in a gradual and realistic way, so that you can maintain them for the rest of your life
Enjoying the process and the progress
