Back Pain
Back pain is one of the most common ailments today. It can be caused by muscle strain, stress, a sedentary lifestyle, prolonged poor posture, or following an injury.
Through physiotherapy, it is possible to relieve pain, improve mobility and help you restore your body’s balance.
We offer treatment in San Pedro del Pinatar (Lo Pagán), as well as in Pilar de la Horadada and Torrevieja.
Why does back pain occur?
Back pain can have various causes, and there isn’t always a single factor to blame. Among the most common are:
• Muscle strain or accumulated tension
• Maintaining the same posture for many hours
• Stress and muscle tension
• Lack of mobility or physical activity
• Injuries or repetitive strain
In many cases, several factors combine to cause the pain to persist over time.
Types of back pain
Back pain can occur in different areas:
Neck pain
Discomfort in the neck and upper back, often linked to stress or prolonged poor posture. The pain may radiate to lower areas of the back and/or the arms
Mid-back pain
Occurs in the middle of the back and is usually associated with muscle tension, stiffness, prolonged poor posture, scoliosis, etc.
Lumbar and lower back pain
This is the most common type. It can occur following physical exertion, overexertion, long periods of sitting, or work involving frequent bending of the spine and heavy lifting. The pain may radiate down into the leg

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is neck pain always the cause of headaches?
Not always, but often the neck has more influence than it seems. That is why it is assessed holistically.
Can physiotherapy help with migraines?
In many cases, it can help reduce the frequency, intensity, or impact on daily life, so yes.
What if I have had pain for years?
It is not too late. The approach is also adapted to long-term processes.
Is massage alone enough?
Sometimes it helps, especially at the beginning or during times of high stress and pain, but it usually works better when combined with more active treatment.
