Physiotherapy
Personalized treatment to improve pain, mobility, and function, adapted to your daily life.
Care in San Pedro del Pinatar (Lo Pagán) and also in Pilar de la Horadada and Torrevieja.
What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a healthcare discipline that helps prevent, treat and recover from various problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system.
Through manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and movement education, the aim is to relieve pain, improve mobility and help you regain functionality in your daily life.
Each treatment is personalised, because every body and every situation is different.
Physiotherapy that transforms
Physiotherapy can be useful in different situations:
Musculoskeletal pain
Pain resulting from sustained postures, stress, anxiety, etc.
Muscle or joint injuries
Degenerative diseases
Physical recovery after injuries or periods of inactivity
Improved movement and functionality due to pathologies, advanced age, etc.
When is physical and functional rehabilitation necessary?
• Sports injuries: sprains, tendinitis, muscle strains, torn fibres.
Click here to learn more about this in the Sports Physiotherapy and Injury Rehabilitation section.
• Chronic pain: lower back pain, neck pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, back pain...
Click here to learn more about this in the RESET PAIN section.
• Post-surgical recovery: prostheses, trauma surgery, orthopaedic operations.
• Loss of mobility and muscle strength due to inactivity, age or previous pathologies.
• Prevention of relapses when an injury has already occurred and you want to prevent it from happening again.
In short, physical rehabilitation is for all those who want to regain their quality of life and move again without pain or limitations.
REHABILITATION PLANS
To achieve real, lasting results, consistency is key. A single session can provide relief, but real change is achieved with a progressive, tailored plan.
That is why I offer rehabilitation plans in my practice, with structured weekly sessions and close monitoring.
What do these programs include?
A detailed initial assessment to design the most appropriate treatment plan.
We set goals, which is essential for programming good treatment. It's not just about "removing the pain," it's about recovering or being able to do things that you have stopped doing or want to do because of your injury or pain.
Personalized physiotherapy sessions, combining manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and complementary techniques such as electrotherapy, ultrasound, invasive techniques, etc.
Continuous support, with continuous review and adjustments in each session according to progress.
Advice and exercises to do at home, reinforcing the progress made in the consultation.
Therapeutic education, I tell you everything you need to know about your situation and we try to resolve all your doubts. Because information also heals.
Nutritional advice, aimed at improving tissue recovery, controlling inflammation, and supporting your process through diet.
Advice for healthy lifestyle changes (physical activity, rest, stress management), key to preventing relapses and improving your quality of life in the medium and long term..
Rehabilitation Plans
I've created a monthly membership format that adapts to you, your situation, and your real needs.
There is no fixed duration: the continuity of the program will depend on the objectives set and the progress you achieve step by step.
With this system:
You don't have to worry about how many sessions you need.
You are assured constant support throughout the entire process.
The treatment is adjusted in each session according to your progress.
You can maintain the plan for as long as necessary to achieve the goals we set.
Each person needs their own pace. That's why this format allows you to move forward with the peace of mind knowing that you will have all the attention and consistency necessary to regain your well-being.
BASIC Plan - 1 weekly session
Recommended if:
You have back or neck pain that comes and goes
You have been experiencing discomfort in your hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, or other areas for a long time
You have muscle tension due to work, stress, or training
You have had an injury and are no longer in the acute phase, but you are not fully recovering
You suffer from orofacial pain, bruxism, TMJ disorders, facial paralysis...
You want to improve mobility, strength, and control
Ideal for people who can live their lives with some normalcy, but with discomfort that makes their daily life difficult and want to improve
PRO Plan - 2 weekly sessions
Recommended if:
Pain limits you at work, rest, or training
You've had a recent episode that has slowed you down (lower back pain, neck pain, mild sciatica, heavy strain…)
You've been injured and need to recover to return to your sport, work...
You have difficulty moving normally or have greatly reduced your activity
You need closer monitoring to progress
You want to recover sooner and more safely
Designed for those who need an extra boost and a faster pace of work for a while.
You can also opt for individual sessions.
These are ideal for advice, answering questions, or when you already work out on your own at home or at the gym and don't need to come in for consultations as often.
You also have the option of purchasing vouchers for 5, 10, or more sessions, which we can distribute however we want over time, since they don't expire ;)
The choice of plan is made jointly and can be modified according to the objectives set and progress made. The aim is not to maintain a fixed frequency or stay longer than necessary, but to move towards greater autonomy and functionality.
In certain cases and phases, it will be necessary to have sufficient space to work on movement safely and effectively.
In these cases, part or all of the treatment would take place at the Pilar de la Horadada facility (Extreme Adrenalin MMA Training Club), where we have more space to carry out work focused on explosive strength, jumping, balance, coordination, advanced phases of rehabilitation and sports readaptation, etc.
The treatment is the same: personalised, guided and adapted to each person and their stage in the process.
FREQUENT QUESTIONS
Is this for me if I've been in pain for a long time?
Yes, especially. Physical and functional rehabilitation is designed for people who have been living with pain for a long time and want to move more safely and confidently again.
Is the treatment just exercise?
No. The work is active, but it's not just about doing exercises. Depending on the moment and the case, different tools are combined to help you progress gradually.
Do I have to choose a plan right away?
No. First, your case is carefully assessed, and from there, we see what pace makes the most sense for you.
What if I don't know exactly what's wrong with me?
That's okay. It is not necessary to have a definitive diagnosis to start. What's important is how it's affecting you in your daily life.
How long will I need this treatment?
Each process is different. The treatment is adjusted according to your progress, without fixed times or unrealistic promises, or being there longer than necessary. It will be adjusted based on the goals we set.
What if I'm in a lot of pain one day?
That is also taken into account. There are times when relieving tension or taking a calmer approach helps, and others when the body needs more active work. Each day will be adapted according to your situation.
